This free service uses open-source scrapers from the waste_collection_schedule project to fetch your collection dates directly from your council’s website. Your schedule is regenerated every night and served as a standard .ics calendar file.

Only your postcode, door number, and council are stored — no names, emails, or personal details. Postcodes and door numbers are public information (they are in Royal Mail's address database). The calendar file is identified by an anonymous hash of your address details.
A UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number) is a 12-digit code assigned to every address in the UK. Some councils require it to look up your specific property.
If your council needs it, the form will ask for it. You can find yours for free at findmyaddress.co.uk — just enter your postcode and select your address.
296 UK councils are currently supported, covering England, Scotland, and Wales. If your council isn’t listed, it may not yet be supported by the underlying open-source project.
After generating your calendar, copy the .ics URL and paste it into your calendar app’s “Subscribe to calendar” or “Add calendar from URL” option. On iPhone: Settings › Calendar › Accounts › Add Account › Other › Add Subscribed Calendar.
